1. Fall in Love With Full Galleries
Don't just scroll the Instagram highlights. Ask to see an entire wedding day, start to finish — the getting-ready chaos, the dim reception, the dance floor at 10pm. That's the real product.
2. Style Is a Gut Check
Our style is true-to-color and cinematic. Greens look green. Skin looks like skin. If you look at our work and feel something, that's your answer. If you don't, keep looking — the right style makes every other decision easier.
3. You'll Spend All Day With Them. Like Them.

Ask if they've shot your venue — or at least your kind of venue. The Luminaire's dark chapel and Big Sky Barn's open fields are completely different animals, and we've shot both. A photographer who knows the light at your venue is worth their weight in gold.
5. Two Photographers Beat One
One photographer can't be in two places. Getting-ready moments, the ceremony from two angles, cocktail hour while the couple sneaks away for portraits — that's a two-person job. We shoot as a team. Always.
6. Ask About the Backup Plan
Cameras fail. Cards corrupt. The question isn't whether your photographer has backup gear — it's how many layers deep the plan goes. (Ours is three deep. Christian is a belt-and-suspenders kind of guy.)
7. Understand the Timeline, Not Just the Price
Packages vary wildly. What matters: how many hours, when the gallery delivers, and whether you get a sneak peek while you're still on your honeymoon high. Get it all in writing.
8. Check the Reviews for Specifics
Five stars are nice. "They calmed my nerves" and "the gallery made my mom cry" are better. Look for the specifics.
9. Read the Contract Like an Adult
Boring but essential. Hours, deliverables, cancellation terms, image rights. A real contract protects you both.
10. Trust Your Gut
After all the research, it comes down to this: who do you want standing next to you when you cry happy tears? Pick them.
