Our go-to Porter spots are Mercer Botanic Gardens, Lake Houston Wilderness Park, Kingwood parks next door, and Rustling Elms Park. We pick between them based on the session type, the light at your session time, parking, and how much walking you want.
Lake Houston Wilderness Park charges $3 per day for visitors ages 13 to 65, and the City of Houston publishes a $154.42 professional photo fee per park per date. Amenity centers and lakes in private communities like The Highlands and Woodridge Forest are only used when the client has resident access.

Porter’s parks are friendly year-round, and the Wilderness Park’s pines help in summer. Spring and fall are quinceañera and wedding season along the US-59 venue corridor. Mosquitoes are out in the woods and near water from May to October.
