Location planning
Splendora is small-town and easygoing: two clean city parks for family sessions, a barn-and-fountain wedding venue, a string-light pavilion for evening events, and Lake Houston Wilderness Park about seven miles south when you want the pine-forest look.

Our go-to Splendora spots are H.L. Patton Memorial Park, Splendora Heritage Park, and Lake Houston Wilderness Park. We pick between them based on the session type, the light at your session time, parking, and how much walking you want.
Splendora’s city parks have no published photo policy, so we call before booking. Lake Houston Wilderness Park charges $3 per day for visitors ages 13 to 65, and the City of Houston publishes a $154.42 professional photo fee per park per date.

Bluebonnets line the FM roads in March and April. From May to September we only shoot golden hour. Fall color is modest, from late November into early December.
